Marion Ranyak is an American painter whose works became known in the 1970’s. She was one of the founding artists of SOHO20, a 20-woman co-op gallery founded in the SoHo art district in New York City in 1973. With her artistic origins in the Hans Hoffman school in Provincetown, MA, she developed her own style and aesthetic during the 1960’s and emerged in the feminist artist movement in New York.
This site is dedicated to recording Marion’s Catalogue Raisonné and tracking the provenance of all her known works of art. Special thanks to Dr. Andrew Hottle of Rowan University who compiled the initial catalog of Marion’s work. The Catelogue is divided by art format and period, and is organized chronologically. Additional work is ongoing to collect missing images and post detailed artist’s notes where available.
You can find additional information on Marion’s “Wikipedia” page.
